Haha Hey I thought we were just tossing any ideas out there . I'm guessing either a beefy magnet or two stout magnets. that is an excellent idea lol! well my fucking alt died today.... Like completely dead. I'm pretty pissed! Hasn't even made it a full two weeks. I'm getting my money back and saying fawk them. Then, when I was putting my old alt back on, I broke a fuel line which is a special fit so hopefully good ole JB weld will fix it. There's a show tomorrow I want to make it to tomorrow... Damn that sucks about the alt man and fuel line... And JB weld always does the trick!!! So is that the btl motor you were talking about? And also what you doing about the alt? Get your money back and send it to get rewound by someone else? But he said he can build it to 230amps On a side note, I found a wrecked nubira so I'll be taking some ish out of it. I put a rear deck back in, trying to fit the trunk carpet still, tomorrow I'll be putting the beauty panel on the deck lid, paint the grille and trim pieces I picked up. Next weekend I'm going to get the center console so I can scrap my butchered one lol. If he does it anything like mine he will, he sent mine out the other day so I will have it prolly by next week. He set the regulator of the alt at 15v so the max amps are 230. The alt will be charging at 13.8v, idle is around 120-130a at and 700-800 rpms but once I get around 1200 rpms, which is the max rpms you can et it up to in comps iirc, I'll get a lot more out of it. I really hope they just give me my money back or at least most of it. I know of one other person who's alt has died from them. But he hooked up some diodes and ish, so he was running it at 15.5 cold 15.8 cold. They're fixing it for free and upgrading it. So I might give them a chance to rectify the situation. There's a show today, but I don't really want to burp my system on a stock alt. Plus the area its in I like to party party in and I'd rather locals not know what's in mah car lol . I'm still waiting for everything to dry. More pics to follow. I gotta wait till monday to find out what I'm doing with my alt, I kinda just want my money back. Dying in less than two weeks is pretty fawking lame.... not as good as I thought it would be the randomz My rear deck was over at my dads house when a hurricane came through, so it was ruined. Found the same car at a local Upull it. I put some spray foam in the corners and put down some damp pro. Much better right? When I was pulling my dead alt out I broke one of my molded fuel lines, so it was JB weld to the rescue lol.
