Blown subwoofer

hey guys i have a blown 10 inch boston acoustic G5

problem is one of my tinsel leads is snapped

if i was to solder it together would it still work or do i need to recone it

so are you saying that your sub is blown and the tinsel lead snapped? yes soldering the tinsel lead will fix that problem, but if your sub is blown your going to be needing a recone man

im not to sure if its blown it just cut out and when i took it out of the box i noticed one of the tinsel leads isnt connected, tip was a little burnt, maybe cause i gave it too much power?

try soldering it back... from what youve told me it seems like that is the problem.. how much power u pushin to it and wits rated rms?

try soldering it back... from what youve told me it seems like that is the problem.. how much power u pushin to it and wits rated rms?

G5s are rated at 475rms prob giving it between 500 to 600 watts
