smokeymcpot Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 Ok so I have 2 12 inch p3 slims, right now there in a box I had made by a shop which is 2 cubic feet sealed.. Now I heard u can port these subs and I like the sound of ported enclosures better so first is it true that they can be put in a ported enclosure? Secondly Ive been sayin I want to build a box by myself and so i want to take this opportunity to do so..so this is my FIRST box I'm going to build now I kno I have 3 cubic feet of air space now how do I kno how to design the box and how big to make the ports
blownengine Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 Download Torres box calculator from this site. Enter your numbers and mess around with stuff. Then enjoy. Stick with the cubic feet that Rockford recommends. Tune from 32 to 35 hertz with 13-16 square inches of port area per cubic foot. And feel free to ask more questions. 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT (Yea its got a Hemi)Alpine CDA-105KnuKonceptz 0ga CCA Big 3 with Yellow Top 15" SoundQubed HDC3DC Audio 1.2K (Bass)Pioneer 6x9's (Front)Pioneer 6.5's (Rear)Kicker 3.5's (Dash)Sony amp on the highs.
