Superjay Posted July 28, 2011 Report Share Posted July 28, 2011 DO NOT OPEN A SHOP!!!! if you don't have YEARS of install experience under your belt you are NOT PREPARED for all the anomalies that can pop up. If you don't have years of business experience you will not know how to run the business side of it. If you still insist upon opening a shop you will HAVE to start as a distribution customer, meaning you will not be able to buy direct from the manufacturers. Without a decent credit history in the industry no one will sell direct...even credit card or COD. You'll need an insurance policy for at least $500k per occurrence, $5 Million umbrella. If you don't know how to install alarms don't bother...or find an experienced installer.
