LoudBimmer
Any one know swirl marks polish that actually works, cause staff at auto zone doesn't work. I know detailing shop, but it's 2 hours away. http://www.amazon.com/3M-06064-PERFECT-REMOVER-COMPOUNDS/dp/B003974GTW To me this works the best. Been using it for about 5 years now. You need to get the grey foam pad along with it though. Then I use this with the blue pad, http://www.amazon.com/3M-Perfect-Ultrafine-Machine-Polish/dp/B0015PMQDI This to step will take out all the swirls. Best stuffs I have used. Done many cars with it as well. will it work if i do it by hand?
mbdblue
so it's rubbing compound>polishing>wax ? pretty much yes man. did you try the rubbing compound? i tried scratch doctor instead, didn't work. Shitty polishing machine from wal mart dosn't do much work.... i talked to guy's from http://www.detailersdomain.com/ and it seem's they got some good staff. Kind of pricy, but should work nah man, scratch doctor never worked for me. you need a rubbing compound like the one from 3M... If you have a Harbor Freight their the sell the buffer pretty cheap I think. Never used one from them always a makita. Just a thought though. Leboy23
If you want to get the scratches out, 3m makes a product that is called finese it. It's in between compound and polish. Gets out light scatches and scuff's, If the scratch is deeper than that, you will need to sand and buff it. If that don't work, it will need to be repainted.
