MRxRoman Posted August 3, 2011 Report Posted August 3, 2011 Okay, so I'll be ordering an AQ2200D and a Fi BTL 15" offline soon and I've been wondering what else I'll need to support this setup. Like which wiring kit and the gauge it'll need to be and if I need an extra battery and all that. I know this may be a lame question but still kind of new to stronger set ups needing more power. Thanks.
skittlesRgood Posted August 3, 2011 Report Posted August 3, 2011 personally i would get a HO alt and replace the front battery with a nice xspower or kinetik battery. that will help voltage the most. as for wire, 0awg for sure. nothing smaller. and dont get cheap ass CCA wire that really only has as many strands as 4awg. get some knu koncept wire. Use 1/0 gauge and nothing less. As far as the battery, you should be able to get away with using the biggest battery you can fit under the hood and a volt meter to monitor it, but I would throw one more battery in the back as well. My car is pretty much running the same power with a BC2000 and sundown 100.4 with no problems, but I still plan to go with a HO alt when the time comes. But yeah I was gonna try and go the same rout as you did, by getting a bigger battery in the front along with a volt meter, or getting an extra battery put in the back. But what rout would be better if I'm on a little budget?
