kcs Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 I was thinking about getting a group 8d battery. Universal battery group has one that is 250 ah. I have 3 shuriken bt 60's now and they are not holding up. They are 60 ah each. I have a powerbass 4000d amp pushing 2 powerbass 3xl 15's. 270 amp mechman alt with the boost module set at 14.9v. 1/0 wire. I plan on running another 270 amp alt. Also I was looking at the northstar nsb 170ft also. Thinking about 2 of them. Anyone use the group 8d batteries and what are your thoughts? www.upgi.com is the place you can look at the battery. It is a huge battery. On the site it says it weighs 154lbs. batteryplex.com also has union battery company and some other companies that have some group 8d batteries.
