JBLEEZE33
Ok i have a pioneer avic n3 headunit and the clarion eq.. i have the big 3 done in 0gauge my amp is grounded w 4 gauge through a distrib block w 0 gauge to the frame of my escalade.. when i turn off the key and open the door(gm keeps the radio playing until you open the door)i get a loud thump from shuting down the system and i have really bad engine whine.. i havent grounded the headunit like ive heard about the pioneer units needing.. thats becuz how do you ground the rcas outputs when they are the plug in(pig tail) wiring harness style instead of pluggin the rcas directly into the deck... also when i use my phone off the aux output of the clarion eq then there is no engine whine and i used to have the eq grounded thru the head unit and stock wiring harness ground and the other day when i changed the eq ground straight to the frame then my engine whine got even louder.. can someone help me out w grounding my pioneer and what can i do to get rid of the thump when i turn it off.. ps i have searched plenty on the site for this and nothing says about grounding this style of rca outputs.. thanks Quote pioneer avic-n3 w ipod adapter clarion eq infinity kappa perfect 6.1 infinity kappa perfect 5.25 infinity kappa 6x9's 2 boston spg555's Boston acoustics gt-42 Boston acoustics gt-28 Boston acoustics gt-28 Big 3 Knu 0 gauge Optima battery

dkahns51
I had the same thump, it was only untill i redid my remote wire that it went away.. also that was after i blew my amp up... so it could of possibly been the amp. But I am more sure that it was the remote wire that was causing the amplifier/subs to turn off after the head unit which creates the thump.
