im not admin or anything but on some forums when u fill out the registration they ask u a very weird question at the end like

Are you going to kill yourself? *not a good reference but i just woke up*

Bots acnt answer these i dont think

I have seen alot of forums who have these boxes with randomly generated numbers and letters you have to put in. Bots cant do these either. I dont know what they're called, but they work very well from what I understand.

I know what you are referring to, it's on myspace but I don't think this particular forum program does that. It annnoying to check each registration

That works, but also it depends on what forum you are running, i.e: phpbb, invision, you can set it up for that when a person registers they have to have an admin "o.k" their account before they can post, that can be a pain in the ass but if you have a few admins it works out quite nicely unless you have 200+ people registering a day

This is exactly what Im dealing with now, I just put up the forum yesterday night and already two spammers
