My enclosure is going to be 1.5 cubic feet after all displacements and I am tuning to 39 hertz. I am shooting for a 140 on the TL. What is everybody else doing with the level 2 8's on TL? 2011 Ford Ranger Sport 4.0 v6 2 sundown audio prototype nsv4 15s crossfire 4k wired to 0.4 ohm 15 banks of maxwell 3.0 caps @ 18v triple alts (x2 us alt 250's, x1 singer 320) 153 at 23hz

Asking everyone with two DC 8's what their numbers are really wont help you, unless they have the same car, and the same exact box with the same tuning. The variables are going to be different with every system, so comparing yours to others may give you a false sense of hope.. or the exact opposite. brennan88 Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 i know ive seen single sa8s and lvl 2s off a little less rms in sedans out of a trunk do mid 130s on music, theres several vids and comparisons of 8s on the tl, one had a dd 1508, sa8, dc lvl 2 8 and some others like all off same rms and setup in spl and daily and they got term labbed. done up by pulse car audio edit: true too many variables this vid shows them same all in the same environment to show how theyd compare, not in theyre idea environment though, but still a great benchmark imo. Your gonna have to just give it a shot, and see what happens. Yeah I understand what you are saying! I have a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon GT (hatchback) so that will improve my changes of doing a 40.... Although, I would be careful with throwing that much power to these 8s. No doubt, they are beasts, I ran one of the first ones ever in my truck and did lots of testing and beating on it for Rusty. They hold up great, but I cant see much more then 900w daily on one of these woofers without it burning up, for you average installer. Shit, that two second burp at 2000w made my truck smell like coil for a bit.. DC AUDIO 06' Lancer
