Difference would be flexibilty in possible wiring options. Ohm loads and such... Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
npbumpin Posted August 23, 2011 Author Report Posted August 23, 2011 I though they just both wire down to 2ohms, brideable....can I run 4 door speakers on a punch 400-1 or say can i run a punch 400-2 on my subs that are both d2's
CleanSierra Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 You could do either one of those options, yes. The 400-1 isn't considered 'bridged' though. It's just a single channel amp. The ohm load for 2 D2's would be 2 ohms final load. Either amp would push that. Seems like the 400-1 would give you more power at 2 ohms that the 400-2. I'd do exactly the opposite than you suggested to get the most out of both amps. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
