Factory Bose, rewire

I have a 2007 tahoe with a 'stock' bose. How much shit am I getting into rewiring everything. I recently redid my wifes 02 Mustang with the mach 460 sound package and I was ready to set the car on fire. I know ill need to do it if im adding anything better as far as mids and highs go. I guess im just trying to prepare myself for this grind so if anyone has any tips with this let me know. I searched and didn't get anything back.
