My buddy has 2 Alpine type E Subwoofers and Hertz High Energy Components. The subs are 250 watts rms and the components are 125 watts rms. Should i get a amp for the components and one for the subs or one amp? Im not sure what to look at when getting an amp. Do I add up the watts? Then what about the different channels. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Maxim Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Get a class D mono amp for the subs and a multi-channel amp for the components. You'll want a 2 or 4 channel depending on how many sets he's running. What amps you get depends on the speakers themselves. If the components are 125rms, I'm assuming the HSK 165's? Something like the AudioQue AQ4x90 would be a good fit. For the subs, 500 watts @ 2 ohms isn't too hard if you wire the subs in parallel. AudioQue also makes the AQ750 which will do 500 rms @ 2 ohms. wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

There quite nice and the exact amount of power your needing. --2004 Toyota 4runner New Build Log -2002 Acura Tl-S Old Build Log Team DC Audio spl dust is an option you can get on the coils... it's great for extra 1000 watts of power where can i get this spl dust and how much is it. is it hard to apply? lol
