BackYardSoundZ Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 Alright my buddy wants me to install his 4ch for him, its rated at 85x4 @ 4ohm, but his speakers are only rated at 50, now i usually set gains when the speaks and amp are alil closer in power and i use this calculator... http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/setgain.asp now my question is what will happen if i type in 60 instead of 85 to find the voltage, will it damage anything or will i just get poor performance?
