SQ for the volvo v40

Previously I had a 6.5 comp set for the front and a pair of 15" xcons for bass.

Let's just say it was fairly loud but had zero imaging and midbass was lacking.

So I pulled everything out and started over.

New equipment:

2 Exodus ex-anarchy, playing double duty (midbass, midrange)

2 Peerless hds tweeters

1 Eclipse ea4100 4 channel amplifier

1 Jbl ms8

I know people like pictures so......

MS8 and Eclipse amp will be mounted in this:

May try smoothing it out and doing a piano finish later, or not.

Started the bases for the kicks, Have to wait until all the drivers show up before I can progress.

Got the ms8 display mounted:

I tried making each side near identical, then when I put them under the dash they would rub and be way too close to the pedals, so I ended up deleting some of the edges.

Have to fill in the lower left section, fill in the dimples, and do a bunch more sanding. I'm thinking about painting them the OEM color of my car to match (dark purple).

The Brown man should show up later today with all my wire.

Then I'll be able to install the drivers, setup the ms8 (roughly), and make sure I'm happy with the kick pods.

Then I'll pull out the kicks in a few days, sand, throw on a coat of lightweight rage gold, sand, then paint volvo oem dark purple to match the exterior.
