TRTC360 Posted September 30, 2011 Author Report Posted September 30, 2011 If you're talking some bad-ass component speakers, I always recommend using the included passive crossover networks - mainly because of all the money put into their design. The chance of you (or I) being able to pull off what they've spent months designing with a twist of the crossover control on your amplifier is like zero. Sound deadening is key - not only will it improve the sound of your speakers and eliminate rattles, it will improve the overall efficiency of the midbass drivers. I built many a system over the years with RF component speakers. Looks like the T3 and T5 are some serious contenders. well bad-ass like Hertz, audison, focal, etc etc no, I'd love to get the T5's but right now that's is no where near my budget, the T3's are a bit closer, I may just wait until these component sets show up on sonicelectronix or ebay, their prices are most of the time less than half wats listed a companies website so I might be able to afford the T3 or T5 components for the front doors in the future, but I know deadening is a must, i really wants to hear the difference between a deadened door and a regular one.
