dtleonard26 Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 What's harder on my electrical My original plan was to get 2 aq1200ds and run them separetly at 1 ohm But I can get a sundown 4500 from a friend and I could run all 4 15s at 2ohms so my question is witch is harder on my electrical system Big 3 2 oddesy deep cycles And plan on an upgraded alt soon Bagged 83 C10 89 K1500
Katt Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 The 4500 would be a lot harder on your system then two 1200d's. Even at 2 ohm. 240 Amps fusing for the two 1200d's, as the 4500 recommends 500 amps of fusing. So you can tell which would be more power hungry. But it takes power to make power. And, getting 2000 Watts from the AQ's would be if you had a perfect 14.4V system. Still, same applies to the 4500 though. So if you get the 4500, I'd try to get the Alt, and a few more batteries.
