amp problems

hey ppl new here and i thought ill ask for some help about this but i got a 1200 watt crunch amp with 2 dual 12s in a ported box with 600 rms on both and lately the amp has been cutting out and i just got a new ground wire i thought it could be that but it not is there any way i can test out the amp or something i can do see why it does that thank in advance

Make sure speakers aren't shorted anywhere.. possibly shorted at the connections on your box...

Check if speaker connections inside the box didn't shake loose

Check ground and power connections make sure they are secure at every point

Make sure your REM wire is not loose anywhere..

Since you just got a new ground i'm assuming that that's when the problem started so make sure you have solid connection to a good spot with no paint..

Is amp actually powering off or is bass just cutting out?

When does it cut out? Only when driving or even if car is parked and at what volume??

^^^ Could be a lot of things, need more details.

What are your wire gauges?

Length of wires?

Does your amp have proper ventilation? Could be overheating?

How long is it cutting out?

Are there any specific steps that get it working again?
