Guest Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 already tried searching, but i wanted more opinions. is it worth the ~$150 for the performance gain you get? i read that it turns the bass way way down but im sure thats easily fixable by adjusting the low end part of the eq graph back to flat or so.

I don't know if they do this anymore but with the imprint ready headunits you can rent the tuning part from crutchfield for $50. Thats what i did with mine and it was worth it in my opinion. It did a great job of tuning everything and made for a very flat response across the mids and highs. But like you said, the bass was almost nonexistent. I ended up turning my gain on the sub amp all the way down, running the tuning tests, and then turning the gain back up afterwards, worked well enough. I don't have access to a termlab so i can't say if i l gained or lost on the meter after using the imprint but the bass did sound "smoother." The volume to the ear was the same after i tuned it in again. Overall, I would say its worth it for $50 for sure. $150, still probably worth it unless you are completely confident in your tuning abilities for mids and highs. Hope that helps!
