The next step is the rear speaker covers, then the front door panels. Only problem is, I ordered a new Jasper 200J circle jig, and haven't received it yet. Hopefully it will be in this week! In the mean time, I still had this volt meter to find a place for, and the ps2 to finish installing, so lets do it! I really want this meter to go here, but it is just too big. So later on, the plan is to fg an ipod doc into the console, at which time I will also make this meter fit properly inside. But for now, I need the use of the meter, regardless of how sh*ty it looks. Test run for the ps2 - It works! Oh sh*t, Medal of Honor anyone? Yeah I know, it's a ps2, but it is practically new, I already had it, and it fits like a glove! I still need a little piece of carpet, to make it pretty, but it's in there! Volt meter too, showing the rear batt. Here is a couple of videos. The first is me doing clinics, finding my cars peak. If you pay attn, starting at 4:35 you will see me get a 141.1 And this is my single run, modified 2 class, which I could not believe I actually won w/ a 140.6! And that was after giving them back 20 seconds! Haha, not by choice. I aint gonna lie, I got lucky as hell, too many people dropped down and I was one of only four in my class. But a win is a win, and I'll take it! I figure the car's needs should come before the system. At least somewhat. So, Here is what I am about to change next MLA - To properly charge my batts! Well parts are starting to come in, and I got my SMD DD-1 today! New front brakes pads and rotors. And we all know what this is... Instal was easier than I expected, and overall I am really happy with my purchase! Here are some pics of the install! Fist thing was get stuff out of my way! So I could get to this But as you can see, the wire I needed was kinda tricky to find, since there were 7 or 8 of them the exact same color! So I decided to try the to get it right before it went into the PCM Found it! So now some tape and care when putting it on! And that part is pretty much done, other than a few zip ties! So now on to a mounting location. Hmm, this looks good to me! All cleaned up and mounted! And how bout a jumper ground? I think so! And there she is, fully installed! And here is a little video I made when I first started the car after the install. Hear the fear in my voice when at first I forget to turn the HU on, which powers my volt meters! And yeah I know, I'm a dork! That's why I hate talking in videos! I have had all three for a while now, but only run two cause I'm trying to let the other one catch up now and equal them all out, before they go in the same box on the same power. It's a simple design that I am doing completely on my own, from design to construction. Subs up port back 7.5ft^3 @33hz FTW! Here are some pics. I hope to get it completed tomorrow and ready for paint. Going w/ the same as dash (midnight black metallic) El port Port(left) and top/baffle(rt) More tomorrow long as I get no setbacks! I then took it apart and started the finally assembly. All screws were pre drilled and counter sunk. All joints glued w/Tightbond ftw! I'll fg resin the whole inside tomorrow and cut baffle and hopefully finish assembly! Got the baffle cut And the dowel rods cut and attached to the baffle And most of the bracing Test fit... looks good! Now for some Kitty Hair Glued and ready! Baffle glued and more Kitty Hair added! Also bracing for the baffle And that's where I stopped for the day. Let the glue and Kitty Hair dry, and tomorrow I'll smooth it all out, finish assembly and get it all resined up inside! Got some body filler - NOT BONDO Then started with some sanding and test fitting... Then I started rounding some corners - port inside Now time to break out the dremmel and put in more bracing I notched it out so I could "marry" the braces Side to side is in there! And don't forget the front to back! Glued and screwed! She's gettin sexy!
