My Sub Enclosure Facelift

Well a few weeks back I got 2 pioneer ts-w304c 12". They hit hard and are in a sealed box with the correct air space. The only problem was the box didn't look all that great. It was well built and sealed with silicone on the onside but the box was made of some weird material. It is like MDF but it feels like paper and it was in the guys trunk and it must have gotten a little damp in there at one point so the material was "peeling" and it feels like fur. No idea what the material is but I do know that the box is great other than cosmetically so I am going to fix that up.

I am covering all the nail & screw holes with wood filler and covering all the exposed edges with it also. Here are a few pics of the box with the filler on it.

After I go to the hardware store tomorrow to get some sand paper I am going to sand this thing down and paint it a basic black, I will continue to post pics of the refinishing of the box.

Well I've been busy and havent been able to get on here and do an update but the box is now all sanded and painted, i sanded with 60,100, and finally 240. I painted it with a cheap can of walmart black as I am not going for looks. The box didnt turn out all that great but as far as durability it is going to last a long while. The wood filler is has more of a gloss to it than the actual material. While I had the subs out I decided to redo the wiring. It now has 12g wire to the wubs and is soldered to the connectors. But when i get home i will upload pics with out the subs in the box and the wiring and then with the subs in and installed.
