explicoit Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Hello im new to this car audio stuff and i got this box that is 2.71 cubic feet 3/4 mdf and set up for a sealed enclosure. My question is what frequency/level/phase/boost/bandwidth/subsonic filter should i tune my amp to for this type of box http://www.sonicelectronix.com/pictures_new.php?id=32990&picture_id=646289 there's a picture of the amp. I have 2 id max 12's and ive been reading online and it says it can handle 20-250hz on sonicelectronix?!?! I have a hifonics colossus xxv amp and i dont know how to tune it. Also this picture has the manual http://assets.sonicelectronix.com/manuals/imagedynamics/idmax10v3d4.pdf if it helps its going to be in a lexus is250 on the factory head unit with a LOC and the deck reaches vol.60. If someone could help me i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
KillaCam Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 Set the subsonic to 25hz and the lpf to 80-85. Leave the boost down and the gain is best set with an oscope. If you don't have one i wouldn't turn it any higher than 1/3 of the way. Edit: No need to bump so often, someone will see the thread eventually. explicoit Posted October 23, 2011 Author Report Posted October 23, 2011 So how should i tune the boost/bandwidth/frequency if i dont have a oscope? also what does the frequency one alone mean? EDIT: sorry forgot you said if i didnt have one to not turn it up 1/3. can i use a multimeter?
