89boxchevy Posted October 25, 2011 Report Share Posted October 25, 2011 so i was told by a local shop that they cannot do a 200 amp 1 wire alt that it would not self excite, and then i emailed quick start alternators and they have 1 wire alts that go up to 350 amps. so which one is true can they or cant they do a alt that big with a 1 wire self exciting alt ? 89 Chevy Caprice (is under construction) dual alts 4/0 welding cable for wire red top under hood 3 yellow tops behind the front seat ( who needs a back seat anyways lol) big 3 of course Eclipse 3000 interiors are getting rebuilt now 2 crescendo bc2000 2 shocker sig 12s rebuild pics Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
