Hey guys!

I just recently installed a new Kicker ZX350.4, DS 65.2 component's upfront, and KS 65 2ways in the rear for my highs. I am having two issues, the first one is pretty known.. (alternator whine), which i am going to try a few easy fixes that have worked for me in the past. The second issue is a bit more involved.. If i bring my deck up to 28+/40, after about 2 minutes of play time, you will notice the very high hz notes will brumptly go away, it actually sounds like the component tweeters and the 2 way tweeters just stop working, and or if someone is just turning the treble down. If i turn my deck down to 0, or a low number, then turn it back up.. it plays again normally and the process repeats. I have my gains set to where i want them accordingly while the deck is on 30/40. The xover on the amp is set to about 110hz. I have tried multiple tuning's, gains higher deck lower, vice verse. It also seems that the amp is getting hot quite quick (1-2 mins of play time). I have no voltage drop, and my gains are not set passed 1/2.

I have tried multiple tests, ive tried different RCA's, ive re grounded the RCA's, the deck itself and amp, ive tried running the rear speakers stand alone vice verse with the front.

Alternator whine obviously stops when the engine is not running. I have checked my engine grounds, along with ALL other important connections.

If i unplug the speakers themselves and let the amp run free, the amp seems to stay cool (obviously). I have also tried reversing polarity of the speakers at the amp thinking i made a mistake; same game.

I have until 11 59PM PST to make an RMA for this amp if anyone thinks its bad so i would really appreciate a response!

Thanks alot guys!

I know it's a little late but I will try and help. I had the same problem with both my high and bass amp I had the engine wine and they where getting hot I ran my RCA's down one side and power wire down the other side and since then I have not had the problem This does not work for everyone but it did for me..

What brand is you're head unit?

Does the amp have proper ventilation (AirFlow)
