stilltippin863 Posted November 12, 2007 Report Share Posted November 12, 2007 Hey i got a question for ya i got a earthquake 3000x1 stable at 1 ohm i am gunna be pushing 2 10 p3.0 mmats and my amp i just hooked it up after just sitting in my house for a while and i hooked it up to a little pyle speaker planning on blowing it and i got my gain all the way up and i would barely even do anything and the terminal lights stays very dim even with the radio shut off what could be wrong ?? blowen amp?? and sometimes the protect light comes on too when i had it hooked up to my 18 solo x it pushed it good with no problem but the protect light stayed on too i think it might be the alternator and battery not giveing it enough power to push anything?? could it be that i do not got anough power to push it b/c my battery is bad and my alternator is badd stock alternator and stock battery i get a bad wineing noise from my alternato through my speakers i got a kenwood kvt-717dvd in-dash and 2 6's eminence in front doors and 4 8's in back dash with 4 bullet tweeters running on a 1800 watt 4 channel amp if you got any idea that could tell me what is wrong please hit me back thanks alot oh yeah i will be replaceing alternator and battery sooon in the next few weeks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ChevyBoy Posted November 12, 2007 Report Share Posted November 12, 2007 first of all, DONT PUT YOUR GAIN ALL THE WAY UP!! no matter what you plan on doing. second, get that new battery and alt in. third, take a dmm to the + terminal and get your voltage from it. do that to the remote lead too.
