Melted Rockford Crossovers...

So, I found out what the problem is as to why some of my speakers weren't playing. I take a look at the crossovers and the top black part surrounding the glass/plastic on these.. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_19562_Rockford-Fosgate-Power-T152-S-Black-Box.html is melted. I looked at the internals and the copper coils looked fried and some of the plastic parts are disconnected/melted as well. I have both crossovers connected to each other because i didn't think they gave out that much heat (Which i don't think they do). They are located in my center console under my head unit in this little compartment. I put my hand in there all around and nothing felt hot at all. That's what i thought was the problem..something rubbing against the crossovers that's giving off great amounts of heat but nothing. Anybody hear anything like this? Any idea what have caused this? Could i fix this myself?
