PatrickWahl Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 my buddy just got his skar audio vvx-8, and installed it in his single cab truck. we have it in a .85 cubic ft box tuned to about 37hz with a 3" precision port (box is 26W- 9D- 10.5H). i used torres to make the box and it came out nice but when we hooked it up, it sounded like it was unloading hard and bottoming out on really low note I dont think i'm giving it too much power and the gain isnt that far up, subsonic filter set at 30hz. its hooked up at 2ohms on an american bass 80.1 so it probably getting about 600watts. should we make the box a little smaller?
