Radio Shack Speaker wire?

Anybody have experience with radio shack speaker wire? From what ive heard it seems to be a "get what you pay for" type of wire. I just want to know if you buy for example 14 gauge wire, are you getting 14 gauge or something closer to 16 gauge? Im just running wire from deck to coaxial speakers so Im not going crazy, just wondering if it was anything to stay away from.

It should be good enough for what you're doing. Radio shack wire is more for home theater systems.

i buy the 12 gauge black roll of wire. not speaker wire but their 12 gauge just plain wire. its close to real size the install bay 10 gauge i use sometimes is a tad smaller than the 12 gauge there. so lol your call.

i have a spool of this that i use http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=100-736, works good, i use it as power wire also for my aux stuff like strobe lights, neon, rear fog backup lights and so on

but walmart's 14guage i think 100ft spool for like $10 is good enough for some coax, thats what i used to use till i got this spool

if u buy off the net u can get this but u get the same thing at walmart tho
