Nine8SST Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 I found this old monitor and took the screen out of it....and I got to wondering if I can make this work in my truck? I have enough room above my glove box, and below the airbag, I could build kind of a drawer and have the monitor flip up.....it would be cool for my daughter to watch and play games on during long trips..... Anyway, I don't even know if it's 12 volt, but it may be given the inverter that was in the case...and I really don't know how to figure that out short of hooking it up to a battery and seeing if it comes on. If I can I dont know how? I just remembered though i dont think you can do what i was thinking with the Dmm... i guess its just trial and error. It shouldnt hurt it to test it on a battery. 95legwagon Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 from my experience with pc's everything is 12v on pc's...also look at the back of the case if you still have it n check the writing.....usually itll say like 120v n then 12v below it or something......or maybe even the power converter your talkn bout...... well not EVERYTHING is 12v..... normally they have a 12v rail along with 5v and 3.3v 12v is usually yellow wires on a power supply 5v is usually red and 3.3 is orange off topic i know but hey maybe someone will learn something they didnt know good luck! i think there real i was looking through that guys stuff he sells and it looks like he finds stuff at auctions and just sells it Yea, it looks like someone got the mids about a month ago....shit.
