Sub bottoming out? Higher notes.

I've never had this problem before, Just want some info on what might be going on.

My sub bottoms out/ Makes a loud noise on some higher notes. From what it sounds like to me it does it in the mid 30hz+ range. Plays low 30s-low 20s full tilt no problems.

Sub is an SA-10 on a AQ2200 @ 2ohms. Box is 1.3 cubes @29hz

if im not mistaken subs move more on the lower notes and those are where you find more bottoming out. not the higher notes....

Yeah i know how that works, thats why its kind of mind fuckin me lol I play the low notes fine.. Maybe i get less box rise at those frequencies and it doesn't like it in that big of a box

i think the box size is ok. have you checked the coil and the spider to make sure everything looks right??

Yeah box is way too big. I was checking my box specs and its 1.43@28hz.. I sent an email to Jacob at Sundown and he said 1 cube max anywhere from high 20s to low 30s would work well for me.. lol, Back to the drawing board.
