extremeauto Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 this is my first set of 18"s & my first wall build .....i have 2 fully loaded Fi Bl 18"s purchased from Richard out of whats now EXO's Frankenstein when Richard swapped them out for 2 AQ 18"s to make it match.(congrats EXO!!! i hope u keep the name as my truck is named after urs ..) anyway...lol i used 1 as soon as i got them in a box tuned @27hz(wow it got down! i miss the lows...lol) until my buddy came to visit from TN (Tyler R or EBW) as i had no business near a saw and wood...lmao he was running on next to no sleep but we got it done... box is supposed to be tuned to 29.88hz but seems to be higher(not sure i need a bigger amp and more testing time on T.L) so he helped me build the box & designed the port (last minute half asleep...lol) i fished the port and fiberglassed and braced the box the next day and put it in for testing.then i built the side panels to hold my mid range speakers(i think i did ok other than the out side witch will be professionally gone over with a outer baffle) i also built the top piece & roof bracing myself i did a 147.3 on music &147.7 @41hz B4 i had the top of the wall &roof bracing done.My goal is to get wicked hairtrick and do a 148-151db on music. here is some pics of my build let me know what you guys think but be cool as this is my first wall build and i did all the work myself rather than pay some1 to do it for me... 4 sheets of 11 ply birch 24.99 on sale FTMW! tyler doing the hard part...lol me helping...lol my port sides 1995 Honda passport 3.2 4x4 Frankenstein on a budget ballistics sound deader (roof only so far) kenwood mp3 usb audio control 3 (upgrading) hifonics mx-3 3 sets of massive px5 5.25s 3 sets of massive tweets phonix gold 5.25 componets x2 massive nx4 nano 200x4 mids sony xplod 600x4 watt high's 2 Fi bl fully loaded box walled @31ish hz 13.2 cube box/wall massive DB8000 Excessive amaperge 250 amp alt wir extrnl regulator daul runs of xs power xpflex 0 gauge big 3 raptor 0 gauge power/ground wire full run suriken 45 amp hour x3 shriken bt-120 batts,interstate 1100CA semi batt scytek galaxy 2way alarm still upgradeing!
