adam43633 Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 i have 2 fi btl n2s in a 16 cubic foot box,each sub is wired to 1 ohm off 2 hifonics brz 2400s. but i dont know what the box is tuned to. the box was built by my local audio shop they said it waS TUNED to 36HZ but my loudest frequency is 146.5 DB at 30hz is that considered good? i want to get louder so i am thinking about getting a new box built from different audio shop. my current box the port is a slot port on the right side of the box and 2 18s on the left facing my hatch. im thinking about getting a box made so the 18s are facing up and a big slot port down the middle facing the hatch. what is the formula to calculate box tuning. at 38HZ i hit 145.1 db and at 50hz i hit a 138 db. what should i do?
LoudBimmer Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 you should see at least 150+ out of that set up. I'm guessing it's 2 18's? What type of car?
