cmenacher Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 hey guys this is my first post here but ive been searching around and its a sweet site! i just got a new truck yesterday. 04 silverado regular cab short box with a 2/4 drop and some other nice extras. in my other car i had 1 12" L7 on a kicker zx750.1 i plan on building a center council enclosure for the truck but if i build a fiber glass enclosure how do i calculate the volume?? i plan on porting it towards the box with the sub also facing the box. it will go right up to the dash and stop about 4 inches before the rear window. is that too close? ill post pics in a minute, but what do you guys think? im shooting for 3-3.25 cubes at 30hz. the truck camme with an alpine deck type s 6' or 6.5 + tweeters in the doors and alpines in the pillars too. what do you think? any suggestions??

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.

cmenacher Posted December 14, 2011 Author Report Posted December 14, 2011 how do i calculate the volume of the box if i fiberglass it? i plan on doing an MDF bottom and sides and rounding over the top of it. do i calculate it as a square box and add a little for the rounded shape on top??
