You pushing speaker level power into the driver has most likely either 1) Driven the driver to it's limits and you are hearing mechanical failure or 2) You have blown it the fuck up. If you want horns in your car, grab a cheap compression driver, a waveguide and a cheap amp and go for gold. ...I do not condone the use of horns in cars except for high spl interior sound....
