iPACKgoldDOTS Posted December 19, 2011 Author Report Posted December 19, 2011 i personally wont give anyone shit for any product they use. i recommend products based on results i see, but i offer dirt cheap audio, and i also offer expensive audio. you usually get what you pay for, but there are many great budget lines out there that can sound great and put up big spl numbers. --hifonics brz amps are certainly one of those. and im not saying rockford is terrible, im just not impressed with their price/power, price/quality ratio. will i sell it to someone if that is what they want, of course. and i definitely wont give steve shit for using RF and not sundown. Obviously the upper line of RF amps can get loud, he has proven that. Hes reached higher daily scores than I certainly ever have for peak. But just the same, I know sundown has a good reputation, specifically with forums. If he likes RF, thats who he likes. I know a lot of people with sundown equipment, however, i personally have never used their equipment. not saying they arent worth it, i just cant afford it. I am one of the cheap buyers. I love my personal car audio, but there are priorities in line before my own car. keeping my shop doors open to be the first. 100% agree. Keeping priorities inline is the most important thing in life. I think his choices will result in a overall great daily system. The amps look pretty solid. I would recommend bigger batteries for sure though. you went all out and cheaped out on amps. it was my understanding that the BRZ line does rated @ 14.4? i cant back my claim up as i have not tested a BRZ amp, and i cant find the thread where i originally got that from. but i thought the BRZ line does rated? I have always heard the same, and these amps don't have internal fusing so they must at least make enough power to warrant that.
jhcutlass350 Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 The BRZ amps are great amps I have one brz2400.1 hooked up to my FI BTL 18" and I mad that thing get hot almost to the point that you could start smelling the sub, but other words there great amps and take a hell of a beating.
jhcutlass350 Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 I hooked the brz2400.1 up backwards like pos to the neg and I smoked it sp I took it apart and replaced two resistors and a capacitor and the amp is back up and running, just as as it was brand new.
