I have several in my set up... If you want midbass then don't look at PA stuff. If you want to get very loud then PA is your answer and yes you'll need to set up a bandpass xover for the mids... What would you recommend for a door set up? bred904 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Share Posted January 24, 2012 I run nothing but selenium eights and they have plenty of midbass cross them over at 100 with an 18db slope and 4-5k with a 12db slope. They will sound like crap until you add the horn or tweeter FYI........true midbass is NOT a 100HPF with a 18dB slope. Yes the Seleniums will have punch to them, but they are not a midbass speaker by any means. And yes I've run them and true midbass speakers with a 60Hz HPF. HUGE difference...
