Small sealed box vs Big sealed box

Recommended Posts

Okay I know the larger the box the lower the sub will play but the less power it will handle and the smaller the box the higher the frequency the sub will play and the more power it will handle...so which would be better for woofers... small volume box, in between volume box or maximum volume sealed box?

the recomended speced box..

Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k!

Why would you EVER WANT flex?
huh?...flex is what can make the lows lower and more air being pushed correct?

...If there was such a "recommended space"...I wouldn't be asking the question.. It just has a Minimum and a Maximum space that can be used.

Go in the middle of the min and max

Like

Min .5 and max 1.5 go 1.0

Thank you, that was what I wanted to do.

Damn son, Got Sig?

This is not a one size fits all kind of thing...it depends on the amount of power you have for them. If you're running less than rms, go with the larger box, around rms, middle of the road, overpowering them, go with a smaller box.....generally.
