OldSchool45B Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 I have an 04 Burb and was looking at a box in the floor of the cargo area containing 4 RE Audio XXX 12's. I was going to run them with the RE MT10K. I was looking at 3 2400CCA Batteries to store the juice. If I put them in 1.35 SQFT sealed enclosures they will be at optimum (including basket displacement). Has anyone run a similar set up, or have experience with these subs? Also, I was looking at doing two Mechman 270 amp alternators to feed the system. Can I run the power wires from both alternators to the three batteries as a group or do I have to split the batteries between each alternator? I could go two batteries on each alternator... Thanks guys! What year are these subs? They had a few different styles of the xxx. You can run the whole system as a group for the electrical, no need to split the load unless you have a special setup like a higher voltge (16v-18V) charging system separate from the 12v system. OldSchool45B Posted December 31, 2011 Author Report Posted December 31, 2011 They are the new version of the XXX12-D2. I was going to run and independent system for the audio alone. Would two of the 270 amp alternators and three 2400CCA Kinetik batteries be enough (the mid high amps are two Zed audio 4ch)? The system is set to be: Four XXX12-D2 run by a MT10K. Two pair of XXX6.5C in the front doors run by a Zed Draconia 4ch. A pair of XXX6.5C from the front two ch of the second Draconia. And a pair of XXX6.5C in the rear pillar run from the other 2 channels of the second Draconia. Head unit is an Alpine INA-W910. “You have never lived until you have almost died.
