Help 1st setup Mids/highs.

So if you look in my sig you can see what im am currently running. Now that i have the bass how i like it i wanna start with the mids and highs. Im NOT asking for specific Brands but rather the easier way to go about amping speakers and tweeters. EX. passive or active ? and please run over what they are again. I will probaly start with a 6.5 componet set up front and add an amp to them. But do i really need all the eq's and external crossovers and all that ? and how do i tune the amp based on the compent set i choose. Also how do i go about amping the tweeters? are the connected to the factory mids or do they have there own channel? ( car is a g6 base sedan base radio non amped system. ANy other help or suggestions would help. I just want to try and FAIL(yes fail) to better my knowledge of car audio. thanks in advance.

if you buy a component set it will come with a crossover. then you hook up wire from your amp to the crossover. personally i dont know much if anything or definition of passive vs active crossovers, someone else will have to chime in. But you don't need all the xovers and equalizers but it prolly would make it sound even better because youll be able to fine tune. I currently have polk MM6501 components up front which are 6.5s and tweeeter and running off a digital designs c2c which is 180rms @ 2ohms. you get signal form head unit as you would your sub amp. just make sure its front channel. then run speaker wire to each crossover up front from amp. and you can set filters on amp to you desired frequency and then crossovers that came with speakers do rest.

That was the plain was to power the xovers. Do i need to.tune the amp besides gains? Wont the xovers do that? and that maybe be a passive setup up i cant remember. I just see ppl with line outs eqs and all those rf.360s and half the stuff idk whatvit does or if i need it?

I am using this cheaper set of power acoustic comps and they sound great off my headunit, ts real simple to hook up too, i am gonna tray amping them today though never had them on an amp before so ill let you know how they work.
