Strapped at 1 is .5 per amp. Strapped at 2 is 1 ohm per amp

So I would be strapped at 2ohm with 4 Dual 1 subs correct?

You can yes.

strapping is different for each amp. check your manual or go to the videos and how to on this forum. you need this special cable(forget name) and the you strap them using speaker wire, when you strap its like one big amp though with only on set of wire

outputs( 1 pos and 1 neg) iirc, so maybe you want each amp to have 2 subs instead of strapping.

Back in the day you're correct. Needed a bridging module.

Now just one side of a spare RCA.

dont you need to use the negitive on the slave and positive on the master and then connect negitives or something of that nature ?

I'm just trying to decide if I would be better off strapping 2 DC5ks or getting a DC12k and running it at 0.5 per channel.

Yes to both of Mikeys questions.

12k is 2 5ks strapped internally.

so when you strap amps does that only leave on positive output and on negitive output ? because the two negitives are tied togeter? I feel like a :noob:

Yes to both of Mikeys questions.

So if I just got another 5k and strapped them it would be the same pretty much, Might as well go that way.

Yea ^^^ pretty much Joe.

Mike, the positive terminals of the master amp get the positive speaker wire.

The positive terminals of the slave amp get the negative wires.

Then you wire the negative terminals together from master to slave
