Joe X
Ok so due to port turning I failed to add the increased centerline length in the turn: Centerline Port Length: 9 + 0.75 + 1.375 + 16.3125 = 26,6875 Effective Port Length: PL = 26,6875 + 0.5x1.375 = 27,375 So really specs as follows: Fb= 34.19Hz Vb = 1.439 cuft (per chamber) BUT since friction in the side ducts is different than in the center duct since is wider, I don't think the standard tuning equation the Torres uses can predict the real tuning as this equation works only on constant cross sectional area ports. Not sure if it will be off by far or it will be inaudible though.
Mile High Guy
so if the width of the port is the same throughout the entire port, then the standard tuning equation that torres box calculator uses would be accurate? Joe X
If you are interested in this I recommend reading the following document, is the same document Torres used for his program: http://www.jlaudio.com/header/Support/Tutorials/Enclosure+Ports/Tutorial%3A+Enclosure+Ports/656168 Towards the end it explains the fallacy in port area considerations when using multiple ports. The same applies to the T port.
