shakeablegoose Posted January 26, 2012 Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 I was wondering if anyone could design me a 2.625 cubic foot ported enclosure for a JL Audio 13w1v2-4 tuned to 26 Hz. The back seat will be raised 4" more than normal because it will be raised with steel blocks to get more space for the enclosure. If someone could design this box for me that would be great or if there was some enclosure design software out there that i could download that would be great too. -Hobby- Posted January 26, 2012 Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 If you raise the seat that high it will not be able to attach to the rear mounting loops. 2-3" maybe but 4" definitely wont reattach. I have a 2004 extended cab myself. I built a custo under the seat enclosure that was glassed to form to the floor. Then I built up the sides, added the top and found how much space I had to work with. Wound up to be enough for a 10" with a 4" round port. My kids at 14 and 16 almost hit, they're 5' 10". I did a 2" lift and my back seat tabs barely catch. I did a lot of wood cutting to build my box and I managed to get 3 cf total air space. A few tweaks to the design and I could get another .2 cf total.
