Amp powering speakers

I bought a pair of 6x9 alpine type S's. I will be running the off a 4 channel amp but only use channel 3 & 4 (1 & 2 for front) . What do i look for on the specs of the speaker to know what to set the lp filter to and the hp filter too. Also do i set it to full lp or hp ? thanks

if you place them in the front what ever channel that says front if in the back what ever channel that says REAR

\so the lp filter 65 and hp filter is 23k hz ?

im not too sure but you only use the high pass you amp should say HP AP LP you put it in HP

why do i set it to hp ?

because LP is for SUBS low frequencies and HP is for high frequencies for tweeters and mid range speakers

A high-pass filter(HPF) is a device that passes high frequencies and attenuates (i.e., reduces the amplitude of) frequencies lower than its cutoff frequency.

High pass means "from here up" Low means "from here down" The slope is how fast it stops the choosen frequency. It's not like building a wall.
