Nipsy06 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 I have 2 Audiobahn 12s with a crunch 1600watt amp and a pioneer avh p2300dvd head unit. My system was connected through a step down connection because I had a factory radio until I recently purchased the new pioneer dvd. Currently my system is still running drop down(my sub rca cables are connected to the drop down not my head unit) and the person who connected my system last ran the remote wire into the fuse box since I drive a 2000 Buick lesabre and my battery and fuse box is under my back seat. My system will hit pretty well but after a few minutes it will sound like its losing power. When this happens if I turn it up my whole system sounds like it distorts if I continue to turn up the radio. If I play it at a medium volume it will play fine the system will hit but then its like one note hits hard then the next one drops out a little then it hits agian so its off and on. I was told that it could be the wires my amp is on being that its 4 gauge..... I was told I need zero gauge. What are some pointers or things I could do to fix this? Also I was thinking about doing the big 3 upgrade but Im not sure how that would work since my battery is inside my car under my back seat. Thanks, Nipsy06
