Twostrokeking
Well today I used my birthday money and bought myself a tune up kit,I originally was going to get all MSD stuff but I didn't know that to notice a difference I needed the full kit... Well I dont have 400 dollars for that lol so I bought top of the line stuff without going super high performance and having to change my cam and all of that! So here it is! Will install this all tomorrow. BWD Cap and Rotor BWD Spark Wires WIX Fuel Filter and AC Delco Spark Plugs. The next thing that I am going to do is put in a throttle body spacer! Hoping to get a few more MPG. Twostrokeking
So I got started on the headliner today... what a pain in the ass. All I can say is I'm crossin my fingers for the best... A normal headliner has some sort of a card board mold that you can add fabric onto and what not.. well not mine... all it is, is foam and headliner... I didn't know that and when I did It was to late to turn back... well like I said I'm hopin for the best... :/ My Truck BuildSpending money on things I don't need, to impress others I don't know.At the end of the day for me its about the love of customizing anything and everything to limits or even past reasonable.-SkyHighCarAudio
Twostrokeking
Headliner didn't turn out so I had to go the junk yard and buy an old one that I am going to suede over. Got it cut and ready to be sueded. When I am done you will only see the sunroof window and slider. You shouldn't be able to tell I ever messed it up. My dad says I have the fecal touch as everything I touch turns to shit (; hahahaha. Gotta love him. Here is the headliner cut out! Twostrokeking
Today I left school early to come home and put my seats in and other trim pieces since I took everything out to make the headliner easier and to detail the interior with a fine tooth comb.. Looks and smells brand new! Still have to do the doors though. Went and picked up my friend, ate some burger king, took him home and then my mom has a friend who's son wanted a stereo installed in his car. Got that done! Sounded great! Then I got bored and decided to tear off a tail light, I wet sanded them with 4 different grits, they came in a Mothers kit. I'm not sure of the grit. Then I buffed them by hand! Came out amazing. I still have to do the other side. Polished on left, normal on right. Twostrokeking
Time to get this up to date for SOTM! Here it goes! There will be mostly pictures and little talk! After that last picture the truck got a TBI spacer. Rims were hand polished. I ordered some B stock second skin for the rear rattles and roof. Installed it. Next I did more work on the custom headliner. Taped up. Glassed. Over head glassing=pain in the ass. It dried and I took it down. Body worked. Sanded. Time for the rear. I had to cover the sunroof mechanism with a piece of wood so I didn't have to glass over it. Twostrokeking
Then I went through the same process on the rear. That all got sanded and then I put some foam backed suede on it! Was extremely hard to put it in and I regret ever messing with it. Overall it looks great, there are some flaws I wish i could fix but there is no way in hell its coming out again. The seams in the sunroof cover will eventually get fixed but I didn't have one piece long enough or wide enough to do it in 1 piece. A shot of the truck and my old bike (: Not much after that I bought a tool box for 50 bucks! Looks stupid but works great for what I need it for.. the subs took up all the space under the seat where the tools used to go. Next it was time for a custom grill. Painted the wipers and the cowl that goes under the wipers. Twostrokeking
SHINY! The white specs are ashes because we had a huge wild fire in my state. Cleaned the inside! Time for a new air filter! I forgot what was in the other box! Bass competition! I did a 124 on music. Was extremely disappointed to be honest. The stereo store owner and some other guys admiring the engine bay! Time to get the AC working! It was a damn hot summer. Twostrokeking
Time for some under glow. Seen it on craigslist for 10 bucks and couldn't resist. I wish it was blue but purple looks good.. makes the truck look like the hulk (; Next I painted the bow tie black! Looks much better. In my opinion it looks pretty mean without a grill. And the front end barely fits in the garage. Taped off the back so there was no over spray. Scuffed with scotch bright. Primed with plastic primer. I love this stuff. Sprayed with krylon gloss black.
