dfoland93
Alright so i have 2 1223D alpine type-s in a custom box i made. And now i know someone who will trade me a RD audio alpha v.2 15 with flat wind voice coil. Im not sure i want to do that though. I dont care that id have to make a new custom box. But i feel like 2 subs is better than 1. I want a daily system that slams when i want it to. Im keeping my Brutus 1200.1D and dont want to get a new amp. What do you guys think i should do? Just want a little insight on this dilema Quote The spot with least resistance LOL. I would ground to a rubber dildo if it had less resistance than a run of 4/0 wiring. how many poeple work there 3 or 4 lol At crescendo HQ? probably 2-3 At the sweatshop in china? 30,000 children No Engine

Just want a little insight on this dilema I haven't had much expeerience with rd audio but im pretty sure they don't make a 15 in the alpha v2 and i think youll be better off with the 2 type s which handle 300 rms a piece for a total of 600 rms vs the rd which has 500 rms plus one type s has almost the same xmax 12.8 vs 13mm so both speakers put out the same displacement almost so 2 type s will move more air than one rd audio so stick with what you got hope this helps

This is true, but the RD does 2000/2500 rms motor is a lot bigger and a lot more mottor force. Quote The spot with least resistance LOL. BassJunkie
They can handle some power, for how long is the question though. I have two 18" alphas right now and they're a pretty good woofer, currently being powered by a BC3500 and they will get stinky after a few minutes of play time. EDIT: Just seen you have type s woofers, I would try the 15.
