Do i need a fuse on my LED strips?

Recommended Posts

Fuse it for sure! Use a 5 amp fuse, that's all it needs. Seen non fused mistakes blow into thick smoke. Lucky the smoke a;ways helped to switch of the stuff and investigate the issue. Keep the fuse at easily accessible range.

These leds over a period of time crack or damaged and could even short out.

Plus your source of power if its from the OEM fuse block you risk damaging the power lines to the fused distribution block. If you are taking it from the main amp power wire then its a different story.
