i mean like drill 2 holes in your box and take some bolt with some washers and a nut and use them for the terminals. they wont burn up. lol

i use bolts, and run 3k daily though them, have used the same bolts for a year, no issues at all.

better alternative to terminal cups and cheaper.

is this what you use?

go with bolts. its easy, cheap, and super effective. steve himself uses this in his car and he is running wayy more than you are. the terminals you are using are acting like resistors, heating up when a high current is pushed through them. you dont even have to use big bolts, just go buy a little pack over at your hardware store. also upgrading your speaker wiring might help.
