VIDEOS!!! The Mighty Mini Build! 2001 Silverado Z71 4xSA8's, APSM1500

Recommended Posts

Sick build! I love the SA series. I got myself a 8 V.2 and can't wait for more funds to finish everything. I vote the v.2s and :morepower1: !! :yahoo:

More power is going to be guaranteed  Just trying to determine if I want to do a bit more airspace with the v.2's or go up to SA10's. I think I'd have the airspace especially overpowered.

I personally would go with the 8's. You would only need a max space of 3 cu ft compared to a min of 4 with the 10's. They use the same rms, and I love the looks people give when you say you only have 8's. That and the updated look of the 8 and big surround make it sexy! :drinks:

Sub Stage:

Sa-8 V.2 in a .72 cu ft box tuned to 33 hz

AQ 1200D

Upgrades:

Big 3

Battery

Bought from: Kevin@skaraudio, RooTxBeeR, UtkNate, dgaf

mice build but if your going to lift the seat to get more airspace, y would you get 10s that r gonna want even more air?

One guy did a 4.5" lift and was able to fit 5 cubes under his seat. So hell, why not?

Few new pictures. Went out and bought a camper shell for my pickup. ONLY ONE IN THE AREA  Pewter in color, but other than that it's in great condition, and will be repainted to match my truck (got a friend here at the bar that will paint it for me to the same charcoal color). I'm going to be taking it to get tinted Monday morning as well, 20% all around. It just looks weird without it, lol. Anyways, pics.

And no, I'm not doing a blowthrough, don't even ask  I need the room for hauling my sound system around.

It's quiet in here. :( Things have been taking a slow turn down, with several gigs lined up for my DJ business, so most of my time and money is going into that. But I do have some plans in the works: a H/O alt, two XS D3400's, and a second APSM 1500 for sure, mids/highs possibly after electrical.

Anyways, got the camper shell I bought tinted, 5% all around on it (except for front window) and you can't see a single thing now.

Just need to get it painted to match the truck now. And no, no blowthroughs for now. Possibly a shag pad, but not sure just yet. The carpet liner I do have in there is really nice though.

tint looks great and the shell will look good when its painted lol :D

That's for sure. Might add some cheap sound deadener & a carpet interior to it, once I get the windows resealed up.

And plans for the SounDigital highs are going to have to take a back road. For now, I'm going to go with all Audiopipe amps, starting with a second 1500 this week, then going to buy 3 APSM2125's for highs (1 per 4 mids and 1 for the horns). Cheap power but it's better than the 4 channel I have now. Plus, they're worth a try.
