timma100
I have talked about this a little before, the SPL coils can take a tun of power. A single 1500D (current setup) doesn't even reach recommended RMS for the pair I have. So, should I go for a second saz 1500 or should I just sell the one I have and buy a 3500D (when the 2012 models come out) I have D4 Coils in the subs so my strapped wiring options will take the amps out of warranty (1ohm total .5 each) But because they are v.1 models if they blow I would need to pay to have them repaired anyway. Even if I build a nice battery bank... Would I need a HO alt for 2 1500s? What do you think? Edited February 21, 2012 by timma100
sundownz
I'd just use one 3500D for simplicity. timma100
I'd just use one 3500D for simplicity. True.. I'm sure you can't tell me this, but how much more efficient will the 2012 3500D model be? I'm guessing that it will be made from scaled down NS1 parts for higher efficiency but will there be a substantial difference?
